Cathy Hudson Sorrell, age 67, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven.
The family received friends on Monday, Oct. 9, from 12 p.m. until the funeral began at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks. Internment followed in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Clarksdale.
Cathy was an active member of Victory Baptist Church in Hernando. She gave her best to all and loved her family, grandchildren, friends and the beach. She also enjoyed working as a legal secretary for Lewis & Miller Law Firm.
Those who Cathy leaves behind to cherish her memory and legacy include her daughter, Catie Cox Clark and her husband Matt of Senatobia,; two grandchildren, Lucy and Arthur Clark; her mother, Gala Martindale Hudson of Memphis; one brother, Jerry Hudson and his wife Amy also of Memphis; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Sorrell and her father, Bobby Hudson. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Cathy's memory.
