The Clarksdale High School boys fell to 1-2 in district play with a 68-67 loss at Gentry High School in overtime recently.
Kelley Jones led the Wildcats with 26 points, Dave Wilson had 10, Markevious Jackson had eight, Devontae Halbert and Tamera Allen had five each, Kyle Coleman had four, Teric Trotter had three, and Christian Cannimore had six.
“Kelley Jones had a great game for us with 26,” said Clarksdale coach Farrington Hill. “Gentry was in the shooting bonus in the first quarter. We were called for 10 fouls in the first quarter alone. I didn’t agree with a few of them.”
The Wildcats will face Gentry, Greenwood and Yazoo City one more time each in district play.
