Clarksdale City Attorney Melvin Miller provided more information about preparation for the winter storms expected this weekend.
Miller's report came during the Board of Mayor and Commissioners vetting meeting on Jan. 22.
"If it's any ice, a lot of snow at all, conditions that we're not used to because of the roads, whether it's ice or not, we're going to declare a state of emergency if people should not be traveling," Miller said.
The city is also attempting to provide more options for employees who have to work during the storm.
"We have essential employees that have to be at work, but we have options for those who can't come to city hall to still continue city business," Miller said.
