The snow did not stop crime in Clarksdale with an auto burglary and residential burglary reported along with shots fired during the winter weather.
Snow did allow police to track where burglars might have walked, but no arrests have been reported by police.
The Clarksdale Police Department has reported the following crimes from January 18-22.
Auto Burglary:
• Officers responded to the 1400 block of Choctaw in reference to an auto burglary. The owner
reported an unknown subject(s) forced entry into their vehicle and stole a book of checks.
Shots Fired:
• 800 block of Garfield Street
• 1600 block of Reno Street
The Clarksdale Police Department has reported the following crimes from January 22-23, 2024
Shots Fired:
• 400 block of Leflore Street
• Area of 16th and 17th Streets
Residential Burglary:
• Officers responded to the 400 block of Anderson Street in reference to a burglary. The
homeowner reported forced entry into the residence; three televisions, a microwave oven and
food were reported stolen.
