New water rates expected in Jackson in 2024; those who don’t pay face shut off

JXN Water has announced new rates and fees coming in 2024. Those who are not paying will be at risk of shut offs.

The company, which was established by federal appointed interim Third-Party Director Ted Henifin, has been overseeing the city’s water system for the better part of a year.

Lilly Loise Culp Hogan, age 103, the oldest veteran at The Armed Forces Retirement Home (ARFH) in Gulfport, died on Nov. 19, 2023, after living a long, happy, and productive life. Born Feb. 5, 1920, to Lilly Maude and James Monroe Culp in rural Ebenezer in Obion County, Tenn., she was the tenth of 11 children.
