Clarksdale rolls over Coahoma County, faces Senatobia tonight

Downtown shooting injures three, prompts four arrests

A shooting in downtown Clarksdale following the Clarksdale/Coahoma County football game Friday night has hurt three people and led to the arrest of four others.

Two of the victims were treated at the Clarksdale hospital and one was taken to a hospital in Memphis.

Matthews named CMSD Superintendent

Clarksdale Municipal School District trustees have unanimously selected Dr. Toya Harrell-Matthews to serve as superintendent.
Dr. Harrell-Matthews, a Clarksdale native, has served as interim superintendent since May.
