Claudia Jones Eloby, 100, died Jan. 21, 2026.
She was born Oct. 16, 1925.
Remaining hearts to cherish Claudia’s memories are daughters Evoria Liggans (Rufus), Dr.Valeria Eloby-Slade, Sandra Eloby-Childress, Becky Eloby-Edwards (Donald), and Edwina Eloby Franklin (David). son Aglister Eloby (Arris), and bonus son Roosevelt Johnny Williams (Mildria).
Claudia Jones Eloby was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eloby Sr., parents Charlie Jones Sr., and Betty Moss Jude, and children Thomas Eloby II, Roosevelt Norman Eloby, Larry A.Eloby, and Beverly Eloby Freeman (Earnest).
Services are at Chapel of Delta Burial Corporation, at 615 State St., Clarksdale, MS, 38614. Visitation is 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, with services immediately following. Interment is at Heavenly Rest Cemetery off of Highway 61 South.
