Coahoma County Circuit court is in its summer session with 74 cases set on the docket this term.
Cases will be heard in Judge Linda Coleman, Judge Albert Smith and Judge Charles Webster’s court this month and into August, if the case load allows.
There are 18 cases for violent crime, 16 for drugs, seven for sexual crimes and 33 other miscellaneous crimes on the summer docket.
Cases set for the docket can and do change as defense attorney’s work out plea deals with Coahoma County District Attorney Brenda F. Mitchell.
Cases are listed by Judge’s court, and then by name of the defendant and charge. All persons charged are presumed innocent until convicted in court.

The Circuit Court of Coahoma County is part of the Mississippi’s Eleventh Circuit Court District. The Eleventh Circuit Court District encompasses the counties of Bolivar, Coahoma, Quitman and Tunica.
The Circuit Court Judges are elected and preside over all four counties at different times. The Circuit Court has jurisdiction over all felony criminal cases and some civil cases.
