The Clarksdale Police Department is investigating a shooting in southeast Clarksdale and also a home burglary and the shooting of a car.
Police were called the 1800 block of Espy Drive Thursday and reports indicate a Black male victim had been shot in the hand and arm.
Police did not give details as to time, name of the victim, a possible motive for the shooting or a description of who they might be looking for.
Police reports did say the victim was in stable condition and this is an on-going investigation.
Police were called to the 1500 block of Choctaw Street Thursday to investigate a burglary. A handgun was reported stolen in this incident.
Police responded to the area of Hicks Street and Highway 49 South Thursday on a report of a vehicle shot into several times. No description of the vehicle, the owner or a possible motive or suspect was given. Police reports did say no one was injured in this incident.
Clarksdale Police Department did report three arrests on charges of disobeying a police officer and failure to appear. The people arrested were not named or identified.
A call of shots fired in the 300 block of Lynn Street were also reported by police and officers responding to the area did not find anything.
