Rosa Fort fell to 0-3 on the season with a 36-8 loss at McEvans Friday night.
Marcus Calhoun had a 50-yard touchdown run and Trevious Metcalf ran in the 2-point conversion.
"We struggled with tackling and everything," said Lions coach Kwame Jackson. "We just got outmanned. Offensively, they did a good job of blocking and assignment football. We just didn't play like I thought we would have."
Jackson said the starting quarterback and defensive end were both injured and will be out this week.
"That kind of put us in a little bind personnel wise," Jackson said
"The big thing is just not making mistakes.""
Jackson referred to a Lions touchdown that was called back against Shaw. He said it is also important to avoid turnovers and the Lions must stay healthy. Backups behind the injured players must step up.
"Guys behind them just got to step up and make plays," Jackson said.
Rosa Fort hosts Coahoma County at 7 p.m. Friday.
"We get everybody healthy, I think it will be a good game for us," Jackson said.
