Due to a programming error, Clarksdale Mayor Chuck Espy's photo incorrectly appeared in a Facebook post on the Clarksdale Press Register's Facebook page.
The post was a link to an article involving embezzlement by Aberdeen mayor Maurice Howard. The text of the article was correct but the photo was incorrect, displaying the image of mayor Chuck Espy instead of Maurice Howard.
The correct photo was on our website, but not on the Facebook link. The error was caused by the two photos having the same "mayor.jpg" file name in different places on our servers. Our programmers have fixed this bug and such an error should not occur again.
We regret this error and humbly apologize to Mayor Chuck Espy for the mistake.
This identical error also occurred on the Facebook pages of the Indianola Enterprise-Tocsin and the Greenville Delta Democrat Times.
