Apparently, the DC Santa Claus did NOT visit Linda Berry this year. All she got were clean MAGA lumps of coal along with $2.25 gas. So sad. Nor can anyone in DC make her happy (“Democrats Must Make Their Case,” Northside Sun, 12/12/25). Yet she believes the Democrats have the better solutions to govern if they would but take it on. That assumes that the Democrat leadership has ability to function like a normal political party. Nevertheless, she’s a real Democrat believer. In what, I would like to know. Meanwhile, last week’s CNN poll has the Dems polling a whopping 18 percent favorability. Worse than ever. It seems the public has a different idea about Democrat performance. Under Biden, they saw skyrocketing costs like gas, food, inflation, etc. A Carter-like misery index. Who wants a repeat of that? Or worse, Socialism.
After a year’s long law-fare campaign to trap Donald Trump in some legal transgression and put him away for good, by every DC smart lawyer and otherwise, there is only failure--after 80+ cases. It seems Berry is also gaslighted by the MSM and NPR into believing the political skies are soon to fall and democracy fade from Western civilization as we know it--just as it did following Trump’s first term. Remember that? Nor do I, but it’s popular on the Left to say that to frighten the masses. It’s one of their strategies, don’t give too much actual positive news. Media used to work for the good of the American people regardless of party affiliation and that’s why NPR is in trouble with government funding.
One issue she is sick about is healthcare. Trump, however, is working differently to put money into the hands of the people rather than to the insurance companies. (Democrats rarely have new ideas.) President Biden never had a clue, as with most issues, that the drug prices were incredibly high and never moved a muscle to address the drug companies. Trump likes to work outside the box, but Berry’s media has not reported any progress along those lines, fearing to report anything positive about the Trump measures. That would be a political faux pas.
Another issue on her front burner is affordable food and supplies. She’s not content to see a lot of the prices gradually declining like gasoline and many grocery items. Eggs are down 13%. Home mortgage interest rates are down 1%. GDP is up 4.3. While just the other day, the new DOGE announced cancelled contracts worth $863M, saving roughly $1,329 per taxpayer. That will buy a lot of bowls of soup.
She also objects that SCOTUS decisions that favor Trump. I wonder if she’s ever read a real decision to discover how the Court reasons with the current laws and the actual wording of the US Constitution. There’s not a box to check on a Decision Sheet for the justices. She probably liked it when the majority of justices practiced sociological law which attempted to bend their decisions into compromised solutions rather than principled conclusions. Berry didn’t get a Santa visit November 2024 either, so she doesn’t like real MAGA leadership making Executive Orders which wind up at SCOTUS for judicial review.
Also in Berry’s sights is the Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. She criticizes Hegseth for terminating Venezuelan drug terrorists in their “small boats,” who “have to feed their families under a dictatorship”. Anything to point a negative finger. She must not realize these boats are made for speed and probably are propelled by motors with 100+ horsepower, some of the highest a “fishing boat” can have, but it’s not needed for fishing. But their fentanyl cargo will bring gold, so will they risk a slow-moving fishing boat?
The uneducated electorate came under Berry’s examination as well. She believes there are not enough college educated people to vote in the right way, presumably Berry’s smart way--the Democrat way--to go beyond MAGA ideas and positions. She spares none in her campaign for the Democrats, all this conceived in her drive to work one day, probably a rainy Monday. In addition, she must have come down with a bad fever too or bad case of TDS. Or both.
If there is a shred of objectivity left with the Nobel Committee, Trump should be a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for brokering the Middle East peace this year. Barack Obama got the prize after his first year in office, just for getting elected I guess, when Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who actually kept the peace, was stiffed. The Left’s prejudice is clear for all to see. But really, who cares what the Left gets worked up about? Trump is on offense, not defense, and he has a lot of plays yet to be made.
