LYON – Dana Walton Russell, Sr, 66, owner and operator at Russell Farms, died Sept. 11, 2022 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Jackson.
Visitation was Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022, from 9:30 to 10:30am at St. Georges Episcopal Parish Hall in Clarksdale. Funeral services were10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Georges Episcopal Church in Clarksdale, with burial in the Alcorn-Russell Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Russell was an avid hunter and fly fisherman.
Survivors include: two daughters Elizabeth Weaver Russell of Lyon, and Ashley Ann Russell of Cleveland; two sons Dana Walton Russell, Jr (Natalie) of Orlando, Fla., and David Moor Russell (Rachel) of Como; his Mother Ann Garland Weaver Russell of Clarksdale; a brother, Glover Alcorn Russell, Jr. (Mary Lou) of Jackson; and sister Georgiana Rushing (Lee) of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Glover Alcorn Russell, Sr.
