KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Delta State University football team is ranked No. 14 in the D2football.com Preseason Poll announced Sunday evening.
The Statesmen football team enters their 2024 season after winning a second straight Gulf South Conference championship with a 10-2 record in the 2023 season.
Delta State was picked 18th in the American Football Coaches Association preseason poll and 24th in the Lindy's Sports preseason poll.
The Statesmen are 10 days away from kicking off the 2024 campaign as they will hit the road to face the Lions of Mars Hill University next Thursday (Aug. 29). Kick off will be at 6:00 p.m. (CDT).
