Donna Gail Arnold Hardin, 68, of Myrtle, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2023, at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Born on May 27, 1955, in Clarksdale, Donna was the loving daughter of JD and Mona Barfield Arnold.
Donna was married to her beloved husband, Tommy Hardin Sr., for 38 years. After retiring from AT&T, she moved from Greenville to Myrtle. Donna was a devoted Christian who found joy in serving the Lord as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She had an infectious spirit and brought happiness to all those who knew her.
Known for her delicious desserts, Donna was always ready to lend a helping hand by sharing her culinary creations at church functions, comforting those in need or gathering with family. She possessed an unwavering kindness and never hesitated to show compassion to strangers. Donna cherished life itself and embraced all it had to offer alongside her Lord and Savior.
Donna also worked for several individuals who required special care. She later joined Etta B. Pottery where she continued to make a difference in people's lives through her dedicated work. Despite facing several serious health issues, Donna always emerged stronger with the power of prayer.
Donna's love for her family knew no bounds. She is survived by her husband Tommy Hardin Sr.; sons Randy Fee (April) of Lyon, Tommy Hardin Jr. (Kate) of Myrtle and Travis Hardin of Myrtle; sisters Carolyn Freeman of Clarksdale, and Barbara Green (Alan) of Moon; her grandsons, Brian and Jacob; her granddaughter, Maisley, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents JD and Mona Arnold and brother James (Jack) Arnold.
Visitation was Saturday, July 1, 2023, from Noon until 2 p.m. at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m. in the Glenfield Chapel. The service was led by Bro. James Wells. Burial was in Enterprise Cemetery
Pallbearers were Dawson Stanley, Randy Jumper, Tommy Walton, Hunter Culver, Tyler Hardin and Rodney Hardin.
Donna Gail Arnold Hardin will forever be remembered for her immense love for others and the joy she brought into people's lives. May she rest in eternal peace.
