PLANO, Texas - A Celebration of Life will be held on Aug. 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Plano, Texas, for former Clarksdale native, D’Wayne Woods at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, in Plano, Texas.
D’Wayne was born on May 20, 1962, to the D.C. Woods, Sr., and Arletha Woods. He attended Clarksdale Public Schools and also graduated in 1980 from Coahoma Agricultural High School. After graduating from Draughon’s Business College, D’Wayne relocated to Texas and was currently employed with Texas Instruments until his departure from this life on Aug. 1, 2023.
D’Wyane is survived by two brothers, Carl Woods of Clarksdale and Roy Woods of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Deborah Gardner of Coahoma, Carolyn Martin of Clarksdale and Hermione Yeldell of Plano.
