Since its formation in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Committee on Homeland Security has distinguished itself through serious legislative and oversight work under the leadership of both parties. Republicans’ partisan rush to consider House Resolution 863 today is a betrayal of that hard-earned record.
