Annual Rice Festival set for Sept. 16 in Merigold

The Rice Festival will be held Sept. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the streets of downtown Merigold.

Care Station always cares, always feeds Clarksdale's hungry

It was hot last week and people were hungry and Care Station volunteers steadily handed out food to those in need.
The Care Station held its August mobile food pantry distribution this week with temperatures climbing over 90-degrees and they still gave away more than 8,500 pounds of food to over 300 vehicles.
