Lee Academy hosted a softball tournament Saturday and went 2-1.
The Fillies, now 5-2 on the season, lost to Marvell Academy 13-8 in the semifinals.
Lee collected 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Marvell Academy had 13 hits on the way to victory.
Lee opened up scoring in the first inning, when Faith Carter Bailey doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
The Fillies knotted the game up at seven in the bottom of the fifth inning. Olivia Smith drove in two when she doubled.
Jett Harrell took the loss for Lee. She lasted six innings, allowing 13 hits and 11 runs while striking out nine.
The Fillies tallied 11 hits. Emily Moser, Brielle Johnson, Bailey, and Harrell all managed multiple hits. Moser went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Lee in hits.
The Fillies defeated Lee, Ark., 5-0 in the previous game of the tournament.
Harrell threw a complete game shutout for the Fillies for the win. She went five innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out eight and walking zero.
Lee tallied three runs in the fifth inning. Harrell, Bailey, and Celia Gibson each had RBIs in the frame.
The Fillies totaled nine hits. Bailey and Emily Grace Smith each had multiple hits. Smith and Bailey each collected two hits to lead the Fillies.
The Fillies did not commit a single error in the field. Gibson had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
Lee opened the tournament with a 6-1 win against West Memphis Christian in pool play.

In other action, Lee Academy won 17-1 at Kirk Academy Monday.

Lee lost 11-0 at home Tuesday to Marshall Academy.

Lee is 1-1 in its division after the games on Monday and Tuesday.
