A search by the Tunica County Sheriff's Department for four juveniles reported missing on Sunday, ended today in Nashville, with the children safely in custody of Tennessee authorities.
On Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at approximately 8:19 a.m., the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received confirmation from the Nashville Police Department that an officer had located the vehicle fitting the description with the missing juveniles on Interstate 65, South in Nashville.
Officers then verified the tag and initiated a traffic stop.
All four juveniles were in the vehicle and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center located in Nashville.
Authorities said in a statement all four juveniles appear to be in good health, parents of the juveniles have been notified and will be in route to pick up the juveniles and retrieve the vehicle.
Tunica County Sheriff K.C. Hamp and deputies said the juveniles were last seen about 11 p.m. Sunday, May 1 at their residence in Cedar Cove.
The Sheriff's department in a press release on May 2, said the juveniles were Rayan Ali Ahmed Abbas, 9; Miqdad Ali Ahmed Abbas, 11; Nawaf Muneef Dafalla, 13; and Hakm Muneef Dafalla, 16. A missing persons, all-points-bulletin was released at that time.
