Frances Dianne Wright, 71 of Starkville and Clarksdale, went home to the Lord March 6, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Dianne was born December 18, 1952 in West Monroe, La., to L.E. Weeks and Frances Allen Weeks. She was a devoted Christ follower and member of First Baptist Church of Tutwiler. She will be remembered for her spirit of selfless service and boundless love for her family.
A graduate of Northeast Louisiana University and Delta State University, she retired after teaching school for many years in Tallahatchie and Coahoma counties.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Bob Wright; sons, Jason Wright (Helen) of Southaven, Chris Wright of Kilmichael and Brandon Wright (Lauren) of Starkville; grandchildren William Wright of Southaven, Jacob Wright (Hannah) of Tupelo, Rebekah Wright of Clarksdale, Hannah Wright of Southaven, Joshua Wright of Southaven, Russell Wright of Starkville, Jack Wright of Starkville and Wesley Wright of Starkville; and a brother Allen Weeks of West Monroe, La.
She is preceded in death by her parents, L.E. Weeks and Frances Weeks Davis; stepfather Kenneth Davis, sister Linda Weeks Buckingham, and nephew Michael Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale. Friends and family are invited to visitation at 10 a.m. Service will follow at 11 a.m.
