The Lee Academy boys basketball team is in the Class 3A MAIS state tournament at Canton Academy beginning with a game at 5:15 p.m. today against Columbia Academy.
A win for the Colts (17-5, 6-2) would put them in a position to compete for the state championship on Friday and Saturday.
Lee is currently ranked 13th in the state in the Greenwood Poll, fifth on the Impact Sports Coaches Poll and fourth on MaxPreps.
The Colts lost the consolation game in the North 3A tournament at Central Holmes to Oak Hill 55-48.
Brett Wilson led Lee with 19 points followed by Seth Campbell with 10.
Lee lost to Carroll Academy 51-50 in the tournament Friday.
Wilson scored 20 points followed by Campbell with 11.
Lee earned a spot on the state the state tournament with an 81-54 win against Winona.
Phillip Brownlee led the Colts with 20 points, DJ Vassel had 16, Campbell scored 14, and Wilson contributed 11.
The Fillies season came to an end with a 50-47 loss to Winona in the North 3A tournament at Central Holmes.
At the time their season ended, the Fillies (20-9, 2-4) were 14th in the state for the Greenwood Poll and fourth in both the Impact Sports Coaches Poll and on MaxPreps.
Jett Harrell scored 19 points for Lee followed by Anna Byrd with 10.
