Adaptability, persistence, and getting the job done all played a part to ensure Coahoma Community College was ranked fourth among Mississippi's best community colleges in 2018. Progress is always on the minds of administrators at the College and the main reason for a brand new athletics website and accompanying social media accounts. The Office of Communications and Marketing will manage this contemporary, modern site. The College's Chief Communications Officer, Marriel C. Hardy, is delighted to continue elevating the school's brand, primarily through all forms of communication and social media platforms.

"We saw a great need to improve the College's athletics website, coahomasports.com, and create new athletics-specific social media accounts. We believe that these changes and new additions will better highlight our student-athletes, keep our fans informed, and create an ease of access to the full array of CCC sports information holdings," said Hardy.

The College has always moved in the right direction to attract beneficial prospective students, athletes, and faculty. One crucial step was the addition of an athletic Instagram account. CCC Athletics is a social media platform solely dedicated to showcasing everything CCC athletes participate in, from competition, practice, and even social gatherings and co-curricular activities that keep fans engaged with their favorite players.

Coahoma is proud to announce the new level of exposure that will be given to its student-athletes through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The College wants to intentionally give family and friends the opportunity to easily share athletes' performances, upcoming competition dates, and press releases.

CCC's social media accounts are detailed shortcuts of the new and improved website. Dedicated Tiger fans can access all the information the website provides but in a quick and tech-savvy form. Social platforms will provide regular and frequent posts, reminding fans of upcoming game dates, scores, incredible pictures, videos, and highlights of all live sporting actions. Follow the Coahoma Community College Athletics page on Facebook and join in on the conversation as athletes, alumni, and coaches are always having discussions about competitions under press releases. Log on to view photos from different sporting competitions. You never know; you may just see yourself cheering in the stands.

All information from the website will be automatically shared with all our Twitter followers, who can easily access all sports stories and game information with a quick touch. Athletic Director and Track and Field Coach of the College, Reggy Hankerson, is genuinely excited about the new website as he sees endless opportunities for growth.

"Having this new website means it's going to be seamless and easier for our fans, our alumni, our faculty members, and even our students to be able to go on and navigate our new website," said Hankerson. Coherence and easy access are just a few of the goals Hardy and his entire Communications and Marketing team aim for with the integration of the new website."I am excited for us to present an elevated look and feel for Coahoma Athletics," said Hardy.

Athletic Director Hankerson believes a new website will be the product of innovation and the result of the Communications and Athletic departments working together. The overall outcome will be meaningful."It's going to give current and new information on what our athletic teams are doing. I hope that it starts something new that fans automatically go to our website, so we generate a number of views and clicks," said Hankerson.

The new website will be filled with information about upcoming sporting events, game results, sports features, and Athletic updates from the new Sports Information Director, Terrisa Mark. Hardy believes that Mark will excel in her new role by showcasing the great pride and perseverance that is within Coahoma.

"We are making a concerted effort to improve and elevate all levels. In this instance, specifically, the area of Sports Information. We've recently hired Terrisa Mark as Sports Information Director. She brings with her a passion for sports and showcasing student-athlete success," said Hardy.

Please do us the honor and visit the new athletic website at www.coahomasports.com and be sure to follow us on all social media platforms.
