The Clarksdale Police Department has chased and caught a fleeing vehicle and the incident has resulted in felony charges against the driver.
Police attempted to pull over a red Kia about 11:30 a.m. Saturday and when it failed to stop police pursued it until it wrecked.
Kendarius Lindsey, of 1511 Choctaw Street was apprehended by officers.
Police allegedly found a weapon in his car.
Lindsey was arrested on felony fleeing charges and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was placed in the Coahoma County Jail. bond was set at $50,000.
Auto Burglaries
The Clarksdale Police Department is investigating two auto burglaries that occurred over the weekend.
Officers responded to a report of auto burglary in the 500 block of Price Street were several weapons were allegedly stolen from a parked vehicle.,
Police also responded on an auto burglary in the 300 block of Issaquena Avenue with the owner telling police a tattoo kit, four used PS4 games, and 10 cases of sodas where stolen from the vehicle.
The case was assigned to Clarksdale Police Department Investigator and is an active investigation.
