Mackalya Murphree, 8, was the first person to drop a letter to Santa in the Clarksdale Press Register mailbox and was also the winner of the newspaper coloring contest. Mackalya is a second grader at Presbyterian Day School and the daughter of Christine Murphree of Clarkssdale.
