Clarksdale kicks off the Holiday Season with Christmas Open House tonight in downtown Clarksdale.
There is an advertisement on Page 5 of today’s Clarksdale Press Register of downtown stores supporting this event and detailing select businesses offering specials and lots of nifty gift ideas.
The annual event is designed to bolster local businesses who are exclusive to Clarksdale and whose owners, manager and employees live and work in Clarksdale.
Longtime residents of Clarksdale will remember a time when downtown was packed and children and parents went downtown to shop. Christmas Open House is aimed at rekindling those memories and families and children are urged to attend.
Christmas Open House starts at 4 p.m. and shoppers are urged to bring the family downtown and grab a bite to eat from local restaurants.
