Lee girls beat DeSoto, now 2-1

The Lee Academy varsity girls basketball team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 66-57 win a home against DeSoto School from Helena-West Helena, Ark., Tuesday night.

Emily Moser led the Fillies with 17 points followed by Nyriah Artis with 12.

The Fillies also defeated Indianola Academy 43-10 Nov. 10.

Moser led the way with 18 points.

The Fillies lost 57-42 at Bayou Academy Nov. 9.

Moser led Lee with 21 points followed by Artis with 14.

The Colts fell to 0-1 with an 83-62 loss to Indianola Academy.

DJ Vassel led Lee Academy with 22 points.

 

JUNIOR HIGH

The junior high Fillies fell to 1-2 with a 43-28 home loss to DeSoto Tuesday.

Anderson Flowers led Lee Academy with eight points.

The junior high Fillies defeated Indianola Academy 47-12.

Bella Davis led Lee with 11 points, while Avery Jackson and Tatum Young scored 10 each.

The junior high Fillies lost at Bayou Academy 49-15.

Jackson led Lee Academy with six points.

The junior high Colts improved to 2-0 with a 48-16 victory against Indianola Academy.

William Walker led Lee Academy with 21 points.

The junior high Colts won at Bayou Academy 69-52.

Walker led the way with 19 points followed by Will Moser with 17.

Lee is scheduled to host Tunica Academy Friday with games beginning at 4 p.m. Lee will host Magnolia Heights School Monday, Nov. 30 after Thanksgiving break with games beginning at 3 p.m. Lee travels to DeSoto Tuesday, Dec. 1 with games beginning at 3 p.m.
