A Senatobia man has been arrested on aggravated assault charges after a shooting in Tunica over the weekend.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 at 12:13 a.m. Saturday morning that a man had been shot at the Levee Commissary. Deputies and first responders were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival deputies located the victim who was treated at the scene by Pafford ambulance personnel and transported to the Paul Battle Arena to be airlifted by Wings to a hospital.
The victim has been identified as Daniel Walker, a 22-year-old white male.
On scene deputies identified a suspect who was arrested and identified as James Tiner, a 59-year-old white
male from Senatobia.
Tiner appeared before a judge on Sunday and his bond was set at $50,000 for the charge of aggravated assault.
This incident remains under investigation by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office.
