The Tunica County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in finding those involved in a weekend shooting.
Sunday night the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call that shots had been fired and a man wounded at River Pointe Apartments behind building 4G located on Old Highway 61 N in Robinsonville.
Deputies and first responders were dispatched to the scene and found a 17-year-old black male who said he had been shot. The man was treated by Pafford at the scene and later transported by air to Region One Medical Center in Memphis, where he was treated and released.
While on the scene, deputies were given a description by the victim and witnesses about two vehicles leaving the area at a high rate of speed at the time of the incident.
Tunica Police made contact with one of the vehicles they believed was involved in the shooting and initiated a traffic stop, but the driver sped away. The driver of the vehicle lost control on Nellie Johnson Drive.
The driver has been identified by authorities as Deshun Isabell and is being detained by Tunica County Sheriff’s Office for questioning.
