The Clarksdale Police Department Special Operations Team has arrested three on drug charges over the past several days.
On Tuesday the Special Operations Team arrested Kenny Haywood Jr., 23, and Malik Howard, 22, for felony possession of marijuana.
At the time of Haywood’s arrest, CPD had an active felony warrant for felony Possession of Marijuana. Both were taken into custody on the 1700 block of Somers Street.
They were interviewed, processed and transported to the Coahoma County Jail. They are scheduled to appear before Judge Derek Hopson for an initial appearance in Municipal Court on Thursday, May 7.
On Saturday May 2, the Special Operations Team conducted a traffic stop on State Street and a subsequent search found numerous pills that are believed to be hydrochloride.
Valencia Little, 38, was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule 2 and had an initial appearance in Clarksdale Municipal court where a bond was set at $10,000 by Judge Derek Hopson.
Also on Saturday, May 2, Clarksdale Police arrested D’Angelo Price, 23, on a warrant issued by the Clarksdale Police Department for aggravated assault.
Price was taken into custody without incident and charged with Aggravated Assault, Attempted Aggravated Assault and felon in possession of a weapon. He was placed in the Coahoma County Jail awaiting his Initial Appearance.
