Two juveniles were shot Sunday afternoon and authorities are seeking details on a vehicle and suspect possibly involved in the incident.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Department was called about 3:45 p.m. Sunday about shots had been fired on Beatline Road and reported one person suffering a gunshot wound. The individual was treated on the scene by Pafford and Tunica County First Responders and transported by Wings to the hospital.
Sheriff department reports identified the victim as a 17-year-old, black male juvenile.
Authorities received a second call at 3:48 p.m. indicating a second person, a 13-year-old black male juvenile, had also been shot on Beatline Road.
Deputies were told at the scene by one of the victims a white utility pick-up truck may have been used in the incident.
Sheriff Department reports said investigators developed Jalon Carter, of Tunica as a suspect.
Carter was arrested and charged with two counts of drive by shooting and the incident is under investigation.
