There seems to be a lot of confusion in today’s society about the beginning of life or personhood.
For any Bible believing person the answer is quite clear. The Psalmist tells us in Psalm 139:13-14; “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
I firmly believe that life begins at the moment of conception.
Who are we to say God’s word is not true and determine on our own when life begins. Who gives us the right on choosing to abort a child, no matter the reason, when it is for our good? Who are we to decide that the next person that is aborted will not be another Billy Graham or ordained leader that God sent to us? Several years ago God gave me inspiration to write a poem about abortion and I am sharing it with you today.
Please think about the words in this poem and decide your own thoughts about abortion.
Is It Right?

Is it right that you and I should walk this earth,
Making decisions of unborn babies concerning their birth;
Is it right for people like us decisions make,
After a time of intimacy produce a mistake;
Is it right that some pregnancies will be disappointed,
Deleting a baby that may be God’s anointed;
Who are we these decisions to make,
Is this world going to be better after a life we take;
Is it right for us to speak for someone an opinion they haven’t got,
Whether their life is worth living or is it not;
Is it right for us to live on this earth in these ungodly days,
Producing a mistake because of our selfish and sinful ways;
It is time for everyone on earth to stand up and be willing
To stop all of these unwanted pregnancies that ends up in a killing;
Life is so precious, especially that of a newborn babe.
Created by God through a special way only He gave;
God did not give us authority for these lives to take,
We chose on our own these decisions to make;
We have walked this earth and become somewhat tattered and worn,
