The Mississippi Hustlers, a local AAU basketball team, won all three of its tournaments in Atlanta, Ga., last weekend.
The 10th grade boys defeated the Tigers 55-41, the Atlanta Spirit 29-24, the Southern Stars 37-27 and the Cam Sports Blue 38-32.
The ninth grade boys finished 3-1 to win their tournament. They defeated the Wildcats 44-42 and 59-49. They lost to the Promise Elite 55-41, but then came back to defeat the Promise Elite 68-63.
The JV girls defeated CP3 Select 50-38, the Kentucky Blue Devils 46-24 and Kentucky Blue Devils 38-20.
Markevious Jackson and Lauren Harges won the team’s player of the tournament honors.
Harlem Bell and Taylor Howard won the team’s player of the game honors.
Deundria Stovall and Kamarrious Rush won the team’s hustler of the tournament honors.
The Hustlers are in their first season and consist of athletes from Coahoma County and surrounding areas.
