The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi is seeking nominations for 2019 Community Stars from the 11-county area served by CFNM, including Coahoma County.
The purpose of the award is to honor individuals and organizations who have demonstrated philanthropic leadership, volunteerism, and activation/impact in their community or in Northwest Mississippi.
The categories include:
• The Dan Maddox Man of the Year.
• Margaret Maddox Woman of the Year
• Business of the Year
• Nonprofit of the Year.
Overall, to be considered for a Community Star Award, it is necessary that nominators show evidence that the nominee has taken a leadership role in an initiative or project that led to the betterment of their community through their time, talent, or charitable donations.
Nominations will be accepted through Oct. 30 and can be submitted by individuals, companies, organizations, and educational institutions.
