Coahoma Early College High School missed the playoffs once again, but the Tigers did win four games this past football season, which quadrupled their total from 2017.
Five athletes were recognized for their play in the Region 2-3A division with awards.
Junior kick returner Chris Russell was on the 2018 M.A.C. Division 2-3A Super 22 Team.
Russell also saw action at running back, quarterback, receiver, punter and in the secondary.
Sophomore linebacker Jeremiah Brassell Jr. was also on the 2018 M.A.C. Division 2-3A Super 22 Team.
Brassell Jr. also played on the offensive line for CECHS throughout the season.
Junior quarterback Willie Eagins, in his first full season as starter, earned a spot on the 2018 M.A.C. Division 2-3A all-region first team.
Eagins spent much of the season injured, but still found a way to play every game.
Junior defensive lineman JaQuarius Mitchell was a leading tackler for the Tigers and also was on the M.A.C. Division 2-3A all-region first team.
Junior Thomas Williams Jr. was also on the M.A.C. Division 2-3A all-region first team as an all-around athlete.
The other teams in the division are North Panola, Madison Palmer, Water Valley, Holly Springs and Independence.
