CLARKSDALE - Jimmy Glenn Gordon, 88, retired salesman with Wonder Bread and a farmer, died December 30, 2023, at home.
Visitation is Thursday January 4, 2024, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
Jimmy was a United States Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife Sue Ryals Gordon; daughters Pam Gordon Higginbotham of Clarksdale, Sandy (Terry) Runnels of Moon Lake, Missy (Vernon) Jackson of Clarksdale and Nan (Gary) Hines of Greenville; brothers Danny (Patricia) Gordon of Water Valley, Bob (Kathy) Gordon of Oakland, Miss., and Freddie (Sandra) Gordon of Courtland, Miss.; sisters, Evelyn Lancaster of Myrtle, Micki (A.C.) Shannon of Greenwood, Linda Hood of Greenwood and Barbara (Sammy) Hamblin of Water Valley; six grandchildren, Faith Redwine (Shaun), Paige Shepherd, Chad Jackson (Tyler), Timothy Gordon (Allie), Jewel Hines and Sophie Hines; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Eudie Logan Gordon; brothers Delaine Gordon, Carl Gordon and Roy Gordon; sisters, Martha 'Mott" Liles; and grandson Christopher Jackson.
