RENA LARA, Miss. - Joan Neal, 74, died March 11, 2025, at Indywood Estate in Cleveland, Miss.
Visitation is Friday, March 14, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, Miss. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday, at Meredith Nowell, with burial in the Memorial Gardens in Lyon, Miss.
Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
Joan was passionate about surrounding herself with loved ones exploring the great outdoors through hiking, biking and camping. Playing games with her loved ones was a highlight for Joan, fostering laughter and unforgettable moments.
Survivors include her nephew Barkley Neal (Sam) of Boyle, Miss.; longtime friend Mary Fraize of Rena Lara, Miss.; stepdaughters Kimberly Barron Mayfield (Justin & Shea Mayfield) of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ginger Barron (Stone & Hunter McElderry) of Oceanside, Calif.; and an abundance of family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents James "Bo" Neal and Miladeene "Millie" Brasher Neal; and brother James "Jimmy" Neal.
Pallbearers will be Charles Burnwatt, Dudley Fraize, Henry Coats, Jarrett Coats, Roy Brooks and Ted Coats.
