Dear Editor:
With all due respect to the one or more state leaders who believe antifa (anTEEfuh) and basement dwelling keyboard warriors are the problem in Minneapolis, they are not. It is clearly the Gestapo like tactics of ICE.
Those leaders are glad we don't have that going on in Mississippi. I am, too, but I know why. They do, too. It is not because we don't have quite a few undocumented residents and a large city with a Democratic mayor. The difference is we have a Trumpublican leadership. Minnesota does not.
An overwhelming majority of United States residents oppose the tactics of ICE. A large enough number that it is bound to include a good many otherwise dedicated Trumpanistas.
The promise by Trump was to go after the "worst of the worst." That's is not what has been occurring by any stretch of the imagination. A five year old wearing a Spiderman backpack was recently sent to a Texas holding facility for a recent example.
Trump ran his business and governs on principles he learned from Roy Cohn, the short list of which includes:
1. Attack, attack, attack.
2. Never admit defeat.
3. Always claim victory.
4. Never apologize.
5. Use the legal system as a weapon.
6. Build a fortress of loyalty around yourself.
