An elderly Carroll County man reported missing on Friday has been found.
Edward Gatewood, 86, has been located in the Gulf Coast area and "is safe and healthy," according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Department.
The sheriff's office put out an alert on Friday night asking the public's help in locating Gatewood.
The sheriff's office said Gatewood, who suffers from dementia, had been last seen leaving 2940 County Road 149 in Carroll County at around 4 p.m. Friday in a black Nissan Sportage.
No further details were provided Saturday.
