Lee Academy baseball fell to 3-5 in district play with two losses at Kirk Academy Tuesday and another loss at Marshall Academy Thursday.
The Colts (7-10) lost the second game of the doubleheader at Kirk Academy 8-4.
Kirk Academy jumped out to a 5-0 lead after three innings.
The Colts came back with three runs in the fourth inning. The rally was led by a groundout by Sam Stonestreet and by Tanner Fava.
Ryan Mooney took the loss for Lee. Mooney allowed nine hits and eight runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four.
Russell Cook led the Colts with two hits in four at bats.
The Colts lost the first game of the doubleheader 4-0.
Graydon Gullick singled in the first inning, but also took the loss on the mound. The righty allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out four.
James Chicorelli led Lee with two hits in four at bats.
Lee lost at Marshall Academy Thursday 17-0 in three innings.
Cook and Jackson Spinks had Lee’s only hits.
Fava and Cook gave up seven runs each, while William Walker gave up three on the mound. They recorded one strikeout apiece.
Lee hosts Kirk Academy at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The Colts will finish the regular season with two non-district games against Lee Academy in Marianna, Ark.
The first is in Marianna at 4 p.m. Monday. The second is in Clarksdale 6 p.m. April 15. That will also be senior night.
