Alice Brown Jones, 70, of Courtland, a homemaker and worked at Big K, Wal Mart and Gator Mills, died May 10, 2021 at Baptist Hospital Oxford. Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale. Funeral services are 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clarksdale with burial in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
She was a Methodist.
Survivors include son Allen Dixon of Clarksdale, step-son Carl Jones of Glenwood, Ark., daughter Amanda Gail Sartin of Conway, Ark., step-daughter Christina Rhea of Selmer, Tenn., Sister Ann Bailey Britt of Clarksdale, three granddaughters, one grandson, two step-granddaughters, three step-grandsons and two step-great-granddaughters.
Preceded in death by husband William Cecil Jones, parents Bert and Annie Mae Harrell Brown, sister Betty Goodman and three brothers Donnie Brown, Bert Brown, JR and Eddie Brown.
