Dorothy Whitworth Williamson, 91, of Clarksdale died May 21, 2021.
She attended Memphis State University and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was a choir member, WIC officer and teacher. She served on the boards of Community Concerts, and Little Theater, held offices with Clarksdale Garden Club, Music Study Club, Community Choral Society and Page Turner’s Book Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Williamson, Jr, daughter Julia Phillips, her parents Stanley and Mary Wilson Whitworth, and sister Virginia Graham.
She is survived by her daughter, Claire Williamson Drew (Ronnie); grandsons Marshall Drew (Haley M.D.), Gramm Phillips (Anna Katheryn) Mason Phillips, Josh Phillips, M.D.(Jana M.D.) Great grandchildren Lennon, Nicholas and Harrison Drew; Eloise, Edie and Easton Phillips; Isaac and Ellie Kate Phillips. Nieces Debby Whitten, Terry Ferguson, Linda Graham, Craig Leibergotand Dr. Anne Marie Kramka.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
