Justin Davis a star linebacker for the Clarksdale Wildcats, was chosen for the first annual Magnolia State North/South Allstar game.
Davis was an anchor of the Clarksdale defense that dominated opponents during the 2021 season.
The Wildcats defense surrendered more than eight points in only one regular season game.
In their entire home season, the Clarksdale defense allowed an average of 4.2 points per game.
“Our three senior linebackers are the heart of the defense,” Clarksdale Coach Henry Johnson explained.
Played at East Central Community College on Dec 30, the inaugural clash between north and south all-stars is the first such game in Mississippi to include players from both public and private schools. The game brought together players who might not have otherwise met each other.
The North team defeated the South by a final score of 21-7.
