The body of a local man was found in a Jonestown Park Saturday morning and the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the community’s help in filling in the details of this man’s death.
A statement issued by the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Department said 911 was called at about 4:15 a.m. Saturday by a person located near the park off of Main Street in Jonestown.
When officer responded they discovered a black male had been shot and he was deceased. The man was later identified at Tremaine Hunter, 38.
The Sheriff’s Department said they are investigating the death but did not say if they were considering it a homicide.
