Mary Hall Fisher, age 84, went to her eternal home on Sunday evening, June 16, 2024.
The family will hold a Graveside Service on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 beginning at 11 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Clarksdale, Miss., with Bro. Rusty Robertson officiating.
Mary was born Sept. 14, 1939 to Jason Hall and Violette McGaugh Hall in Choctaw County, MS. She moved to Drew, MS when she was a senior in high school and attended Drew High School. She moved to Clarksdale after high school and was a payroll clerk for three years until she married her first husband, Jackie D. Watson on May 31, 1959, who precedes her in death.
She attended cosmetology school in 1969 but only worked for a year at this profession. In 1981, she married Kenneth Fisher and they moved to Tulsa, Okla., where she was an executive property manager for Lakewood Manor, Coachman and Clarland Arms Apt. She was elected Woman of the Year by the Cherokee Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. She later moved to Memphis and worked for Big State Pawn Shop and later moved to Greenwood, Ark., and worked at a local bank. She enjoyed visiting with family, traveling and she was a wonderful cook and gardener.
Those whom she leaves behind include her husband of 43 years, Kenneth Fisher, one son, Jackie D. Watson Jr.; stepdaughters, Leslie (Matt) Bond of Houston, Texas and Tammy Simmer of Houston, Texas; granddaughters, Sabrina (Bruce) Chamberlain of Owasso, Okla.; Paxton Boyd, Cathy Kays and Jeneta Kays; great grands, Jasmin Barger, Alex Chamberlain and Trey Chamberlain of Owasso; and one sister, Shirley H. Brown of Clarksdale.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Hall.
