Mildred was a fantastic cook, entertained beautifully, and was a loyal friend to many. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in art history. She was also a trained ceramist and potter. Mildred loved being a mother and homemaker. Her son, Win, was her life and her greatest accomplishment. She was forever grateful that he was able to be with her for the past two years during the pandemic.
Mildred loved traveling to France, England, Naples, and New England. Her pottery was sold across the country in numerous art exhibits. She had a developed food pallet and was known to enjoy a drink or two. Mildred was a talented storyteller and a superb conversationalist. She was also an avid dog lover. Above all, Mildred loved her friends and family fiercely.
We honored Mildred's life at St. George's Episcopal Church at 4 p.m Friday, July 22, 2022 with a celebration of life afterwards in the Parrish Hall.
Mildred was a lifetime member of St. George's Episcopal Church and an avid supporter of the St. George's day school. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to St. George's Episcopal Church of Clarksdale, The Care Station, The Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice.
