CLARKSDALE - Moises Hilarion Rodriguez, Sr, 86, of Clarksdale, Mississippi, fell asleep in death on Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many.
The family is greatly comforted by the words found at Isaiah 25:8 - "He will swallow up death forever, And the sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."
Visitation is Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home on East Second Street in downtown Clarksdale. Funeral services follow at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lyon, located at 160 Simmons Road.

Survivors include: wife of 62 years, Maria Elena Rodriguez; sons Moises Hilarion Rodriguez, Jr of Memphis Tenn., David Rodriguez, Sr. (LaShaunda) of West Palm Beach, Fla.; daughters Mary Jane Burns of Clarksdale, Lydia Ruiz (Kervin) of Wellington, Fla., Angelita Gross (Roger) of Clarksdale, Elena Maria Rodriguez of West Palm Beach, Fla., Anita Rodriguez of Irvin, Texas; brothers Ruperto Rodriguez of Lozano, Texas, Abelardo Rodriguez of Lozano, Texas, Juan F. Rodriguez of Brownsville, Texas; sisters Estela Garza of Lozano, Texas, Hermelinda Ortega of San Benito, Texas, Oliva Rodriguez of Rio Hondo, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ruperto and Rebecca Gonzales Rodriguez.
