The Lee Academy baseball team took home a 7-2 victory over Clarke Prep last week.
The Colts fired up the offense in the first inning. Lee Academy scored one run when Russell Cook singled.
Ryan Mooney earned the victory on the hill for Lee . The righthander went seven innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out nine and walking one.
Brett Dailey took the loss for Clarke Prep. The bulldog allowed four hits and four runs over four innings, striking out seven.
Lee Academy totaled seven hits in the game. Andrew Williamson and Cook each managed multiple hits for Lee Academy Colts Varsity. Cook and Williamson all had two hits to lead Lee Academy Colts Varsity. Lee Academy Colts Varsity tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Darren Williams led the way with three.
Lee lost to Hartfield Academy 11-1 and Pillow Academy 6-5.
The Colts (3-4) host Pillow Academy at 6 p.m. Thursday.
