Essie Jo Leshe, 85, of Pearl, a retired nurse, died February 13, 2021 in Pearl. Visitation is 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021 at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Meredith-Nowell Chapel in Clarksdale with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
She loved being a nurse and working with the elderly.
Survivors include her sister Jeannette Huggins; grandchildren Philip Arrant, Jessica Arrant, Julie Arrant and great-grandsons Austin and Andrew Arrant.
She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Leshe; daughter Meriel Jo Arrant and parents W.H. Cook and Hazel Beatrice Parham Cook.
