Clarksdale Police Chief Sandra Williams tendered her resignation last week and the city has placed Assistant Chief Robbie Linley in the post until a new Police Chief can be hired.
Williams came to the department in 2017 from Vicksburg and was the city’s woman police chief. It was also the first time Williams had been a police chief.
